iPhone 7 Plus launch date news:
Maybe iPhone 7 Plus could be released as early as next summer
Apple Insider is quoting a “reliable source” who predicts that 2016’s iPhone 7 Plus will launch several months ahead of the usual yearly upgrade cycle, appearing in the summer of 2016 instead of in September.
The site states that this particular source “has, in the past, provided accurate information about Apple’s future product plans”, but while this may be true, it must be pointed out that plenty of other sources have made this exact prediction about previous iPhone launches and they’ve always been wrong. It’s just one of those things that gets repeated every year because it’s such an appealing rumour
iPhone 7 Plus launch date rumours:
Two iPhones a year
So much for the likely launch date. But it’s possible – and has been widely speculated – that Apple will begin releasing new iPhones twice a year, to help it keep up with the ever growing and ever improving competition. This would mean an iPhone launch event in the spring of 2015 followed by another in the autumn.
In this case we would expect less dramatic enhancements in each update: perhaps the full iPhone 7 Plus in autumn, followed by an ‘S’-class update in the spring. Or Apple might choose to update its 4-inch smartphones in one set of announcements and its larger phones in the other.
It’s an interesting theory, but if we were betting men and women Macworld would put its money on September iPhone launches for some time to come.
iPhone 7Plus is More Than Your Thinking;
We are too far away from the iPhone 7 launch to know what the new device will look like, but we can speculate that Apple will continue on its path of introducing more powerful, efficient devices that grow thinner with each design iteration. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to include next-generation A10 processors.
It’s likely Apple will continue releasing two versions of each iPhone, so we may see an iPhone 7 and an iPhone 7 Plus in 2016. Apple may stick to 4.7- and 5.5-inches, or take the opportunity to further refine screen sizes, shifting the dimensions somewhat to match the company’s design vision for the updated phones.
IPHONE 7 Plus Comparing with others
We don’t expect to see the iPhone 7s until the fall of 2016, so it’s quite a ways off. Apple just released their 2015 models, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
Apple has used an alternating “S” naming formula to mark years where the iPhone does not receive a major redesign since the debut of the iPhone 3GS in 2009. Releases have been as follows:
2007 – iPhone
2008 – iPhone get 1st time 3G
2009 – iPhone 3G introduced S
2010 – iPhone 4 (get a new design)
2011 – iPhone 4s
2012 – iPhone 5 (again change design)
2013 – iPhone 5s
2014 – iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (again get a new design)
2015 – iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus (more memory)
Now 2016 – iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus
The next-generation Of iPhone
iPhone is expected to be called the iPhone 7. 2015 marked an “Plus” iPhone upgrade year that introduced new features such as an improved camera and a better processor, but 2016 will bring an even-year upgrade that will likely include an all-new iPhone design.
